The IVPS interprets itself as a new voice in the field of industrial safety. The message of the IVPS is: Accidents are unavoidable, in spite of all protective measures. Therefore, personal protective equipment must be considered an integral part of the safety system.

The manufacturers contribute through well-designed, comfortable products and through extensive product informations to the wearing and use of personal protective equipment at the workplace.

Since personal protective equipment often is the only safety resource, it has to meet the highest quality standards. The producers, organized in the IVPS, have pledged to adhere strictly to the European Guide Line "Personal Protective Equipment" (89/686/EEC) and the German safety laws accordingly.
A further goal of the IVPS is to bring about, in the course of European harmonization, an equally high level of industrial safety to be achieved throughout Europe.
